This year in English, our topic is 'love' and i have come into contact with lots of poets that i had never heard of before. One of my favourites : First Love   I ne'er was struck before that hour With love so sudden and so sweet, Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower And stole my heart away complete. I haven't written a journal in a while, and i thought this would be a good time to update as it has been such an amazing week! Yesterday, I started my new job; i now work in WHSmiths on the tills. We watched training videos and signed millions of pieces of paper. Today we did till training! There was so much to take in, but it wasn't too difficult. After lunch, we served real customers!!! It was scary at first, but me and the boy who was training with me soon got into it :) There were a few times we forgot to give back change And once a woman forgot her scratch card (and of course blamed me) but apart from that it went fine. so. theres been an awful lot of snow around here!! we had around 8/9 inches in one night!! it was amazing, ive never seen snow like that EVER. so .. monday we had the day off. which obviously means.. snowmen, snowball fights, getting generally covered in snow etc.. which i did :D trudging threw snow is definitely not something i want to do again too soon though. ive learnt my lesson there - WALK ON THE ROAD! honestly, my legs were so tired when i got home... anyway. tuesday... another day off!
